Sherri- Glad you liked it :) Maybe I should've been more clear about blogs and Twitter chats- that's pretty much what I meant when I was talking about Tumblr and joining groups. There are SO many things you can do to use social media to get yourself noticed in the PR world. I could go on and on! I love hearing about what other people have done.

Awesome post, Jess. I know you have a disclaimer that the list isn't comprehensive - I think it's very comprehensive, but some people may need more specifics going forward. For instance, establishing a blog is a great way to show personality and be consistent in your personal branding message. Participating in Twitter chats (e.g., #prstudchat and #journchat) is a great way to learn, and also a great way to get recognized. I could go on, as I'm sure you will in future posts. These things are critical right now in this economy - of course not only for the PR industry, but more generally, too. Thanks for the excellent tips!
