Writers Wanted

Mornin’ All –

A quick service announcement for today’s post – we’re growing in a slightly different way than expected.

In addition to the welcome return of “Dear Flack” we’ve started getting a steady stream of stories that need ‘actual reporting’ rather than byline/post authoring which has been our primary mainstay since our launch 2+ years ago.

And so – we’re recruiting among our readers for those who might be interested in doing the occasional post.  Our biggest areas of need right now are:

  • Responding to pitches from “experts” in one area or another – this one may be ideally suited for students as their schedules tend to run differently than us 9-5-ers and may be available during the day to conduct interviews and tinker with platforms.
  • Book reviews – we get these quite a bit.  Depending on the book, this one can vary quite a bit on who the best writers might be – some books will certainly be best reviewed by those with at least a few years under their belts, others it may not make a difference.
  • Conference attendees – we get more and more invitations to conferences.  If you’re available to attend a conference and can write up 1-2 posts on what you saw / learned (as soon as possible after the conference), let us know!!  Also – if there’s a conference you’d like to attend that is in the PR/Marketing/Communications space and would like to cover it on behalf of PRBreakfastClub, let us know and we’ll work together on press access.
How to sign-up?  Just drop me an email at prcog1 [at] gmail.com and let me know your background, where you live/can easily travel to (for the conferences bullet above) and anything else that you think may be helpful.
Cheers & Happy Friday!
