Giving thanks to my PRBC Family

portrait of an elderly man holding a roast turkey at the dinner tableThis week I was inspired by “Social Media Thanksgiving” and instead of my weekly Coffee Talk, I decided to use this platform to thank the people who probably don’t hear “thank you” enough: my PRBC family. Most of the people who read PRBC or know us would say, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. From time to time we’ll have some fun with posts like “PRBC Member Breaks Off” and “Coffee Talk with PRBC Parents”. I love these because it’s a way for the community to learn more about us. I hope everyone enjoys the holiday, stuffs themselves like a turkey, and remembers to give a little thanks to the special people in their lives.

Thank you..

Sherri and Jess for informing me that there are roughly 630 calories in a pumpkin muffin from Dunkin Donuts. In fact, these reminders keep me from forming my own muffin top.

Danielle for being a true team player. Your weekly posts, opinions, and contributions to our family/site teach me something new every day.

Heather for reminding me that sometimes all we need is a little amber to get us through the most stressful days.

CT for making me laugh every day. Whenever I am feeling down I quickly go to @ctmichaels timeline and know I will find things like:  x or y.

Keith for the unicorns, rainbows, and keeping Skittles in business. More importantly thank you for being the stand up guy that you are. It’s refreshing to know not all men are idiots and chivalry is not completely dead. Even if that means I have to find a boy from the Midwest. (Note: sorry ladies, this one just got engaged!)

Papa Cog for maintaining order in the PRBC household. I’m sure at times it feels like having 10 kids: exciting and torture.

Mama Marie for always giving sound advice whether it’s in your column, or in our e-mail threads. You help us newbies learn the ropes on how to become a successful seasoned pro like yourself.

Teej, my social media ninja, for keeping me sane, putting up with my ridiculous questions and humoring me 24/7 via Twitter, Facebook, G-chat, e-mail, text, IM, phone, oh and in person too.

Kate for being my best friend and trusted colleague.  We may pick on each other like sisters and fight like cats and dogs but at the end of the day you inspire me to do my best. I can even say I love Baby Katie.

I never joined twitter thinking I would meet new friends or people I would consider family. You all mean so much to me and I am thankful for all of you.

In addition to the PRBC family I would also like to thank my past Coffee Talk guests: Rochelle Veturis, Stephanie Smirnov, Arik Hanson, Lauren Fernandez, Maria Perez, Mike Schaffer, Sasha Muradali, Brooke Fisher Liu, Susan Whyte-Simon, Jeana Zamanski, Rowena Briones, Danielle Culmone and Danny Brown. Thank you sparing your time, letting me pick your brains, and always supporting PRBC.

Have a great Thanksgiving!
