Calling All PR Pros for PRSSA’s Digital Career Fair

We all hate career fairs. They’re intimidating, uncomfortable and sometimes, just plain awkward. But what if they didn’t have to be?

In this digital age, we’re constantly thinking of new ways to reach our target audiences. What if you could recruit the best and the brightest from the comfort of your very own home? No stuffy suits, no long lines of resumes being thrown in your face. It’s a win-win. PRSSA hopes to help you do just this as part of the #PRSSA “Digital Career Fair” during the monthly chat Wed., March 23 at 9 p.m. ET.

Unlike other career fairs, this one will reach PR students who are social media savvy, creative, ambitious, innovative, and conditioned in ethical behavior and proper business practices (no weak handshakes here).

So, we’ll bring the candidates; you bring the job/internship offers and advice.

I should also mention it’s a really big thank you present to our dedicated 116 participants who come back month after month for our chats – please help us!

If you’re interested in participating as a mentor by answering students’ questions, or have an internship or entry-level job you’d like to promote during the hour-long chat, please contact PRSSA National VP of Chapter Development, Kimberly Ciesla, @kimkabob, at kimberlyciesla@gmail.com. Thank you in advance!

Kimberly Ciesla, a senior at Rowan University, serves as the National VP of Chapter development for the Public Relations Student Society of America. During her tenure, she implemented monthly twitter chats for students to connect beyond Chapter borders. Since the implementation in July 2010, the chats have grown beyond expectations to match existing membership of similar industry chats. Kimberly has been recognized by PRSA NJ as the Future PR Professional of the Year and by Anne Klein Communications Group for professional promise.
